This artist strength lies in this drawing, keen observation and study of the human form and body language. Award winning artist G. Subramanian, originally from Tamil Nadu, has returned to Bangalore after 18 years in Saudi Arabia, where he worked as a graphic designer and artist. Apart from participating in several group shows and artist camps, Subra has had 8 successful solo shows in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pondicherry. As a receiver of the prestigious Saudia Malwan Award for Art in 2003, he visited Italy, France and the UK as an Art Ambassador of Saudi Arabia. At home, in India, he has received the Lalitkala Akademi Award and AIFACS Award in New Delhi. As a philanthropist for several years, Subra will donate 5 % of the art sales to "Asha for Education" - an organization that provides education to underprivileged children in India.
